Looking for that perfect, romantic spot for your dream elopement? Well, you may just have to pay a visit to the beautiful Schwabacher Landing in Moose, Wyoming!
As a wedding photographer based in Northwest Arkansas, I am always delighted to have the opportunity to travel somewhere new and push my creative boundaries. This shoot was one of those times.
When a friend in the industry asked me to tag along for a photographer’s retreat to the Grand Tetons, I couldn’t book my flights fast enough!
Myself and five other wedding photographers arrived bright and early to Schwabacher Landing one September morning, right around 5:30 AM, just in time to watch the first pinks and oranges of sunrise paint the mountaintops. The water of the Snake River was calm, and a moose stood solitary in the distance as onlookers whipped out their cameras to capture the incredible landscape and wildlife in front of us (I was one of those onlookers hehe).
Dimond and Jaclyn arrived in full blown elopement styling, having just been married a month prior and already getting to wear their wedding attire again! How fun!
There’s something magical about mornings in Grand Teton National Park—especially at Schwabacher Landing. The world feels quieter there, and when the first light touches the peaks and reflects off the still water, you know you’re somewhere truly special. It was the perfect setting for Dimond and Jaclyn to get back in front of the lens, and their connection made it all the more breathtaking.
From the moment they stepped in front of the camera, it was clear: these two share something real, joyful, and deeply rooted. There’s a softness in the way Jaclyn looks at Dimond, a calm confidence in the way he holds her hand. They simply fit—like the mountains were made to frame their story.
This session was more than just a photoshoot to me; It was an opportunity to visually tell Dimond and Jaclyns story in a way that no one has told it before. It pressed me to be intentional, to observe the moments in between all the posing where time stood still and the masks came down.
For couples looking for a location that feels both breathtaking and deeply personal, Schwabacher Landing is truly something special. It’s a place where the beauty of nature effortlessly complements the love shared between two people—a perfect backdrop for capturing moments that will be cherished forever.
